There is a need for marketing and promotion of commercial spaceflight and other space activities. This is not only focussed on increasing awareness for future space consumers but also to get the attention from private businesses and investors who are needed to accelerate the space industry’s growth. The industry evolves around spaceflight, space training, space cargo, space hotels and many other activities that result in a whole new economy, the space economy.
The increase of economical value and activities of the space economy will change this to a consumer driven industry. To ensure this future there is a need for a by the core stakeholders acknowledged independent organisation which controls, supports the reputation and maximizes the economic value of this industry. The International Space Transport Association (ISTA) wants to fulfil this need with a key focus on international consumer related space activities.
ISTA is convinced of the potent future of the commercial space industry and wants to secure this future by guiding it from its infancy to maturity.
